Mark Blackwell, Vice President of Victory Motorcycles and International Operations, Polaris Industries, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the 2007 Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction. Blackwell's career in the powersport industry has spanned over thirty years. He began as a professional motorcycle racer, winning the 1971 American 500cc Motocross title, a predecessor of today's AMA National Motocross Championship. He also scored victory in the 500cc motocross class at Daytona in 1972, and Blackwell was one of the first American riders to compete in the Motocross World Championships during the early 1970s. After winning on the track, Blackwell went on to business success with Japanese, American and European powersport companies. He joined Polaris Industries in 2000. |

Lady Low Blow Chopper to benefit the 1 in 8 Motorsports Series against Breast Cancer Bourget's Bike Works, Inc. of Phoenix, Arizona announced today a unique partnership with the 1 in 8 Motorsports Series Against Breast Cancer, to create 25 limited edition custom Lady Low Blow motorcycles bearing the 1 in 8 badge and marks. The 1 in 8, recently called the fastest growing motorsports charity in the United States, was created by it's CEO, Ken Vrana, while working with the breast cancer charity that was founded to honor the life of the late Linda Eastman McCartney, first wife of Sir Paul McCartney. |

Look again. Roger Bourget (that’s Bor-GET) designed and patented a revolutionary oil-in-frame/drop seat style chassis back in ’99 that’s been hard to beat. American IronHorse Slammer™ Declared 2007 “Bike of the Year” Winning V-Twin Expo’s “Bike of the Year” award is an honor for any motorcycle company. To do it twice in less than a dozen years is just downright ballsy; the folks at American IronHorse should be able to attest to that. They did it this year with their Slammer™, a beautiful beast of burden almost too pretty to take out among the cage drivers. If they had any, one would forgive their hubris once you hear this is also the second prestigious award the Slammer™ has won at Cincy. Never let it be said you can have too much of a good thing. |
